Anna Shinoda posted a really cool blog entry detailing going to early Sunset Strip shows and how she met Mike. It includes a photo of a Xero demo tape (with the first version of the artwork!) that she still has, as well as a photo of numerous Xero show flyers/ticket stubs: http://annashinoda.wordpress.com/2013/07/2...d-meeting-mike/

Can't make out the info on all the flyers, but the big one in the center confirms the 12/10/1998 show that we previously weren't sure of, and the one on the bottom right gives us a new Xero show date: October 10th, 1998 at the Hollywood Athletic Club.

This also pretty much confirms what we had suspected all along about "1998 vs. 1999," that Xero existed through the end of 1998, Chester joined in 1999, and Mike is wrong (as are the LPU demos with the 1998 date, plus the Linkin Park: Established 1998" t-shirt sold on tour).

the right yellow, the orange (Thursday, December 10th), and the big one are from Whisky a Go Go.
so it makes the orange one and the big one from the same show.

the other band in the white poster is "Justice Leeg" so it's not a show we had already.

there are seven guys in the white poster.

if we are gonna listen to what Mike said in the last LPTV episode - 4/5 of Xero's show were in the Sunset Strip.
the red ticket is from the Roxy so we have the all the 5 Xero's shows:
3 Whisky a Go Go shows, 1 Athletic Club, and 1 Roxy Theater.

---

btw, now i know that the show in the "Key Club" is Hybrid Theory's show and not Xero's. *read Jonas post*

From the flyers Anna Shinoda posted on twitter:

27.02.1998 West Hollywood, CA, Whisky a Go Go

19.03.1998 West Hollywood, CA, Billboard Live -> now the Key Club

20.06.1998 West Hollywood, CA, The Roxy Theatre

10.10.1998 Hollywood, CA, Hollywood Athletic Club - Zomba Signing Party

10.12.1998 West Hollywood, CA, Whisky a Go Go

Also additional confirmation for the ones we already had.

so there were 6 shows.. not only five like Mike said.

the Xero 818 name is real... this is just great.

March 19th was a thursday in 1998. That works with all the shows, you don't need the exact year if you know the weekday.

like you did with "Nulle Part Ailleurs", i need to remember this method.

Where did Mike say they only played five Xero shows?

They really only did this many? I was under the assumption Xero played quite a lot of shows in LA in 1997 and 1998. Am I wrong?

He said in one of the SSMF-related interviews that the band played four out of their first five shows on Sunset Strip and somehow people interpreted that as "Xero played five shows." Yeah, I have no idea how some people's brains work.

Every Xero date we currently have took place on Sunset Strip, so we're missing at least one more for sure.

no. Here, he said ""Sunset Strip which is where we basically did 4 of our 5 first shows".

Wow a Conan ticket! And another old setlist. Awesome. Where did you find that setlist?

I found one for an early 2001 show, I think on the Street Soldiers Tour but it's in bad quality.

hey.. i found this setlist but i was sure it's fake.

i'm checking about the source..

The LEE Interlude and Short Interlude are on the other setlist you found so I believe it's legit. It also has been around for a very long time (well over 8~ years as far as I know). But it's the same setlist so I think it's probably from an earlier time - on the Street Soldiers Tour perhaps. http://lplive.net/shows/20010126.php or something. Maybe if you find the source we can find out what show it's from. Surely it came with some pictures or something.

This seems not very reliable, Adema played more shows and LP never did the underlined shows. There is NO way they played Frankfurt, this venue is a tiny shithole. London Underworld is small too.

alright.

LP had 9 shows in their tour page, and we have 12, so i thought maybe we are missing some more.

Other Notes from the same page:

Wow you found some EPIC stuff. Awesome job. Can't believe you are finding this much!! I can confirm those Adema dates are without LP. I researched that back in like 2007 pretty extensively. We have the LP dates right. Adema did more shows than LP on that tour. If I recall correctly the same thing happened in fall 2003 in Europe, more Adema shows than LP shows. They did a few solo headlining shows on that run too when they were opening for LP.
