  • 2002 - Linkin Park Feat. Team Sleep - My December (Remix) [From "Reanimation"]

http://web.archive.org/web/20030802152905/http://onstagemag.com/ar/performance_linkin_parks_magic/index.htm

Delson: We're planning on releasing a remix CD in early 2002. We've brought out some of our favorite DJs, producers, and creative people to reinterpret and reconfigure songs from Hybrid Theory. [Artists such as] Jay Gordon from Orgy, Humble Brothers, Z-Trip, and DJ Crook from Team Sleep, to name a few.

Only DJ Crook?

About the song with The Visionaries:

Hahn: Chester just did a song with Cyclefly and also with DJ Lethal, and Mike and I just finished a track with the Visionaries too.

So Mr. Hahn was in the song too.

Ryu has literally mentioned 3 different track names from Reanimation that he supposedly recorded unreleased verses for. First he was on the With You remix instead of Aceyalone, then he was on an unreleased Points of Authority remix, then Pushing Me Away. The guy clearly doesn't remember shit about what he actually recorded. I pretty much guarantee he recorded one verse for one song, it didn't get used, and his years of partying since then have clouded his memory. Crystal Method definitely had nothing to do with Pushing Me Away, my guess is Ryu recorded a verse for the Crystal Method Points of Authority remix and it didn't end up on the final track.

Z-Trip and Prince Paul were mentioned in some pre-Reanimation press that listed contributors to the album (which also listed contributors like Team Sleep, Marilyn Manson, and the Girl Scouts). Tricky might have been included in that list too, I forget.

High Road with Mike singing the chorus:

I met John Legend when he and Alicia Keyes were playing here in L.A. John’s part was something I originally sang myself, and I sent it to him to see if he liked it and wanted to sing it instead of me, because I thought his voice would sound better than mine. He liked it and sent the song back with his vocals right away.

I'm not trying to piss anyone off but why do we have notes for Fort Minor, Dead By Sunrise, Stone Temple Pilots, Solo Stuff, etc.? I would have figured it would have been for unreleased Linkin Park stuff, I thought that was why he had sections for Dead By Sunrise, Stone Temple Pilots, etc.

Why have a thousand different threads when we can centralize all of it in an organized way?

“I actually met with [AVICCI] and we played around with some music,” Shinoda said. “I don’t actually think that any of those demos are going to end up in the world, but when we did meet and were throwing around ideas, I [asked] him, ‘Oh, have you ever heard of this soul singer I believe is from L.A. called Aloe Blacc. He’s really interesting and I like him and he’d sound great on this song that you wrote.’ He said, ‘send me a link or something.’ So I actually introduced him to Aloe, and that ended up being the song.

I’ve worked with Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park and we’ve had a couple of sessions,” Bergling said.

“We’re still kinda figuring out where we want everything to go with the track and stuff but I mean he’s a really good guy and super talented.
