We thought it would be a nice idea to put together a page of all the musicians and stars who said things about Chester. Special thanks to lpliveusername for putting it all together. Check out the page on the LPLive Exclusives Wiki. Everyone from Rihanna to Jared Leto to David Draiman wrote about Chester, and seeing a lot of the messages is very heartwarming. Chester impacted so many lives and inspired so many people. Here are a few excerpts from the page: Jared Leto: So, uh, you know, it's been a really tough few days. You know, we said goodbye to somebody in recent days that was an amazing artist, and incredible human being, somebody who I know probably touched everybody in this entire amphitheater, and he touched me personally as well. He taught me so much and when I close my eyes and think about him, I think about his face which was always smiling. I think about his heart which he wore on his sleeve. I think about how kind he treated me, my brother, Tomo, the band. I think about what he taught me about pursuing your dreams, pursuing your passion relentlessly, but as the same time being able to have an incredible family. You know, he had six incredible children as well. Every time we spoke, there wasn't a conversation we had that didn't include something about his family. And what you guys I think get a sense of from Linkin Park, and it certainly was an extension of how Chester lived his life, is Linkin Park; it's not just a band, it's a family. And the way they think about you guys, very similar to Thirty Seconds To Mars, it's a giant family and we try to make something more than just get onstage and play music. We try to connect and communicate in a way that's deep and meaningful, and I learned that from Chester. He did it night after night after night after night. And what about that voice, huh? What about that voice? That voice will live forever. I wanted to share a post from the band Issues. Issues sites Linkin Park as one of their major influences on their style of music and music in general. The lead singer's favorite band is Linkin Park and he, Tyler Carter, even played with Linkin Park on one of the songs they played at their Warped Tour surprise performance a couple years ago. It would really mean a lot to me if you included this in the memorial page.
