2010 Tour Setlist Information

Introduction: This page will be dedicated to the setlists played on LP's "A Thousand Suns" World Tour from October to December.

An interesting note is how the band/crew labeled the setlists on this run of shows. "A-1" refers to the very first setlist the band started playing (well, with Sao Paulo 10/11, since the previous two shows had 'Bleed It Out' in an earlier positio) on the tour. "A-3" came on 10/27 in Köln when 'Lying From You' and 'Leave Out All The Rest' made appearances, replacing 'Papercut' and 'The Messenger'.

The brand new setlist debuted at London night 2 on 11/11 and played in Abu Dhabi on 11/13 was labeled as "B-1". This is the setlist that opened with 'Fallout' and 'The Catalyst'. We have two copies of this setlist that list 'Points Of Authority' and 'Somewhere I Belong' (both in the #8 spot).

On 12/9 in Hindmarsh, the band debuted "Set B". To keep things as simple as possible, this was basically just a combination of "A-1", "A-3", and "B-1" (all the setlists played earlier in the year combined into one). On 12/13 at Melbourne night 2, "Set B-9" was debuted. "B-9" basically was just "Set B" with 'Blackout' replacing 'Wisdom, Justice And Love' and 'Iridescent', and 'Burning In The Skies' replacing 'Leave Out All The Rest'.

Lastly, NYC 9/14 ("A Thousand Suns" promo show) and Madrid 11/7 (MTV EMA's) were also abbreviated. Both are listed below.

Notes:
- Linkin Park opened several setlists this year with 'The Requiem'. It is important to note that Mike physically sang it on stage only one time during the touring cycle - the very first promo show on 9/14 in New York City. For all other shows that it was played at, he sang it into a microphone off stage. His reason for doing it off stage is that the crowd noise on stage actually messes up the effect of his vocals. Starting with the 12/14 Newcastle DSP, his vocals were mixed differently (on the DSP) allowing fans to hear it more clearly.
- 'The Radiance' was performed in two different ways in 2010. The instrumental beat you hear in the background of the album version was used over the Savio intro to 'Wretches & Kings' when it was played live. Later on in the setlist after 'Numb', what LPLive calls the "live version" of 'The Radiance' was played. Joe scratched/played the first part of the speech over Mike's keyboard playing (coming from the end of 'Numb'), and then Mike sang part of 'The Catalyst' on vocals into his vocoder. Joe finished it up after the few lines by Mike, scratching the very end of the speech, "I suppose we all thought that, one way or another."
- Brad brought back the ebow ending to 'No More Sorrow' for quite a few shows in 2010, which is interesting to note since he hadn't done the ebow ending in quite a long time.
- On 'Empty Spaces' / 'When They Come For Me', Brad started using a megaphone to mess around with. Sometimes he played the siren noise on 'Empty Spaces', and most of the time before the outro of 'When They Come For Me', he spoke in Spanish to the crowd. He played more of the siren usually during the outro.
- During the bridge of 'Bleed It Out', Mike and Chester started by singing the chorus of 'Burning In The Skies'. Later on in the tour, 'A Place For My Head' verse 1 & bridge were introduced over it, and from then on for the rest of the year, both songs made appearances on 'Bleed It Out'.
- On 10/25 in Paris, the band played 'A Place For My Head' after 'Crawling' to celebrate Hybrid Theory's 10th Anniversary (which was the previous day, an off day for them). It was the only performance of the song in 2010, and was played unrehearsed.
