From the
Rio+Social Press Release:"At a special event held on June 19th, kuuluu Interactive Entertainment AG and the US-American band "Linkin Park" will present their co-produced social game "Recharge". The game’s brand-new concept and focus stands apart from other casual online games by intersecting social gaming, social media, and social responsibility in an engaging manner. "Recharge" will be made available to all players through Facebook.
"Recharge" takes place in a not-too-distant future where humans have depleted all natural resources on the planet. Society and what little energy stores remain have been seized control of by machines and an elite minority. Players join cooperatively to battle their captors and recharge the world with clean, sustainable energy.
Sustainable energy issues are very close to co-developer Linkin Park’s heart. Launched in 2004, their foundation "Music For Relief" assists people in dire need who have been affected by natural disasters, aswell as supporting renewable energy projects within their communities. With their current project "Power The World" "Linkin Park" is collecting money to supply families in Haiti with sustainable energy. The social game "Recharge" combines this passion for sustainability with social gaming."Thoughts?

I like this idea. I think it can explain to players how important natural resources and that we should try to save it.

I wonder if we'll be getting any exclusive music for the new game like Blackbirds for 8-bit Rebellion.

Am I the only one thinking that the trailer sucks? It's extremely slow-paced and does not give almost any info about the game..

I think maybe this trailer just a teaser/announcement trailer..

that trailer does make it feel a bit like LP have just slapped their name on something since they're associated to the company/charity :/
although it's nice to see them make a game that's not just for people with iphones/pads...

This. I'll give it a try once it releases.
