Finally a show in LA. Who's going?

EDIT: For those of you buying tickets, the show is "will call only".

Spin
An LPU-only show? Damn, it's been a long long time since they've done that! I envy anyone able to go to this show.
AndOne

is '03 the last time they did this? or does Mayan Theatre count?
shit yeah, MFR =/= LPU laugh.gif

$99 is ridiculous.
marzo23
expensive..... but nice biggrin.gif
but notice: if they only play one new song.... that is shitty. its like 2009 tour only new song new divide... i hope they will play there 3or4 new songs and in europe as well.

I don't know I'f this show is worth signing up for the underground, I wish I knew the set list before I went or who is opening and how long lp is playing seems expensive for 1 new song and the same set list for past 4 years or more now.
Hahninator
$99, holy shit. You'd think there'd be a discount for LPU members or something, lol

Honestly, for that price, I am going to be pissed if all they play is Burn it Down. I understand the album isn't out, I understand its a small venue. But, if they pull a festival setlist and don't do anything special, I will be sad.

Call me spoiled, but it wont be the time or place for a generic setlist.
LGraham
LPL
Y U NEVER HAPPY WITH BEING ABLE TO GO TO SHOW!?

STOP SETLIST TRADING AND GO ENJOY SHOW
you never know, you may get a few previews of new songs like the last LPU tour, (but the band may not want poor quality recordings of songs surfacing before the album does - didn't they try to heavily restrict electronic equipment for kesselhaus...? even if some stuff did surface laugh.gif) I won't hold my breath for rre songs like robot boy etc, because LP have always been a mainstream chart-bothering band, their shows aren't suddenly going to go all smashing pumkins and have chester suddenly turn round and say "we're not going to play any well known songs, here's 'No Laundry'!" sleep.gif
either way, you're seeing an internationally famous band in a small venue - still pretty damned cool!

and all this "discounts for LPU members?" is silly - it's an LPU tour, isn't it only LPU members going!?
Erockk2121
They really need to add a Northeast show to that LPU tour

I am in agreement when I went to the bestbuy show for the release of ats in ny I was mad about the setlist I don't think I am in the mood to gamble $220 for tickets on a generic set list.

I'm not going because I'm not in LPU but i do hope you guys get something special. Maybe With You or In Pieces or it feels like this would be a perfect time to bring back TLGYA

I guess LPU sale only. This is no tour, just one show just for the LPU. The LPU tour in 2003 wasn't LPU only.

Yes they tried, absolutely no cameras were allowed. They literally almost killed people who made crappy cellphone photos of the new stage design while waiting inside in line for the M&G.
But these days it's impossible, they can't deny cellphones etc. inside.

Seriously guys don't worry so much about the damn setlists. This will be a special show either way. Maybe they will just play BID maybe more, and if they do it will be fuckin epic. Who knows how much more shows they'll even play in the US after the Civic tour before they go back to the studio.
But I have to agree about the price. Even if that includes a donation for MFR or whatever, not very cheap. It's almost the same as the Civic Tour.
If it doesn't cost you a fortune to travel to the show, go see it! I wouldn't miss that chance.

There you have your pre-album release show you always complained about that they only do it in Europe.
Bliss
I just had a thought, since we are getting a song from Share 2 Earn, maybe they will play that song on European tour, also?

doubtful but maybe?

I really do hope we get more new songs than just Burn It Down in the set.

gotcha, didn't know that the '03 LPU tour was for non-members too.

reposting whole message for its positivity.
it'll be an ace show regardless of what they do and don't play. big band in tiny venue and the same price as HCT, i'd far rather pay to see that than another arena show

This is my main point. I could have chosen to go to San Diego, but its just "another" arena show. I've had enough arena / amphitheater / festival LP shows, I want something unique. Now I have it.

I'm sure you're not the only one who's going to have a good time for that same reason.
just please don't bitch about the setlist laugh.gif

you can at least go to this show, we've still no news on any UK dates yet sad.gif

it's not tiny, mid-sized sort of thing methinks
equivalent to some of the O2 academies in the UK maybe?
iamsatan
the venue has a 500-600 person capacity. I saw them play there for the Jimmy Kimmel Show in 2007. I'll be going to this show as well, solo dolo. I got lucky and got a ticket they put up from orders that didn't clear.
skyzlmt
Think the setlist gripe for me was Mike had in an interview that they'd like to play odd/ old songs but most of their arena/festival shows had such a broad audience, they didn't want to alienate people which makes perfect sense. I think he said this right before the Mayan show and look what got played there, shocker, festival setlist. I'll be happy with whatever they play because of the venue and album hype, but I think for now, Muse is the only tour I'll follow multiple stops on. Got a tad bored hitting LV, SD and LA on the ATS tour due to the minimal variety.

Do you remember what they played at that 2007 show? The setlist from Jimmy Kimmel 2007 is the only (?) unconfirmed setlist we have from after 2004 I believe. http://lplive.net/shows/20070518.php

I was there and i'm about 95% sure that the set you have listed is accurate. I am having a hard time remembering any other songs other than those listed being performed so I think it's good!
XeroSkies%Emo360
If you guys have seen LP more then 5times, Atleast one time during each touring cycle. Why Waste 99$ ? Just wait for the HC Tour. Now if its your 1st show then ok fine, but come on now? Be real hear for a moment. Good reason or not & rare or not. Im sure you can fine somebody selling the tix for 50$ somewhere or less.

-I don't remember the order at all.
-The MTM songs listed are for sure correct
-The list looks correct, because I do remember the set was roughly 13 or 14 songs long. The only song that might be questionable is Lying From You

LP in tiny venues are worth the money because it's rare for them to perform in them

If I lived in CA or close to CA, I would definitely go to this show. LP did an album release show the day ATS came out in NYC, I was there, and it was definitely worth the experience. I'm jealous of you guys! Have fun everyone.

If I was in LPU i would go, I would drive down to LA just for concert
