Mike and Phoenix are just having a twitter chat on
http://twitter.com/mtvuk and mentioned, that they plan to play 90+min long shows.
"new shows will be announced on linkinpark.com; We'll be playing stuff from HT, Meteora, MTM, and ATS. 90+ min, we hope"
tschenneck
Aug 23 2010, 10:56 AM
that means only the new ones are 90+?
that would mean that South America and Europe would get about 90 again, that would be accetable, anything under 85 NOT, because they got so many songs to play with ATS

I think they didn't say anything about only the new shows. At least for me it sounded as if they would be talking about their upcoming tour in general. When they talked about it in hamburg at the prelistening, they said something like this, too.

I was kind of hoping they wouldn't play a lot of old songs, I want to see a lot of new songs played. They should just play like 3 songs from Hybrid Theory, 3 songs from Meteora, like 6 from MTM and the rest ATS.

Acceptable? Who are you to decide whether something the band does is acceptable or not? No offense, I'm just saying.

I think they weren't only talking about the new shows. theres a " ; " - means to me that they were answering two different questions. Once, that new shows are going to be posted, and, that they plan to play 90+ shows. I guess we just have to wait, but I'm pretty positive that the concerts are going to be great.

common, we pay 70€ for a live show which isn't 90 minutes long? this isn't normal, and i could post many (famous) bands who play longer for less money but then i would get flamed with "common you cant compare them, shut up." or something like this.
btw: i feel sorry for everybody who doesn't get a chance to see them

Hahah I hope not! Let's say: 8 from ATS, 5 from Meteora (LFY, HTF, BTH, Nobody's Listening & Faint/FTI), 5 from HT (Papercut, OSC, With You, By Myself, ITE) and one demo (Blackbirds/ATL). And no M2M please..
19 songs, but ATS has a lot of long songs. So this would be 90 minutes for sure. Unfortunally the songs I've choosed will never be played live without songs like Crawling, Somewhere I Belong, Numb, What Ive Done, Given Up etc.).

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Slow your roll there. No need to play SIX from MTM, three would be enough. (WID, BIO, maaaybe GU or NMS?) For the love of god, no LOATR or SOTD. Good songs, but they completely bomb live. And don't forget New Divide.
This is excellent news though. Can't wait to see what they're planning.

I think they will play 4 from HT (ITE, Papercut, Crawling, One Step Closer), 4 from Meteora (Numb, breaking the habbit, lying from you, faint/somewhere I belong), 4 from MTM (WID, BIO, GU, NMS), New Divide, and 6 songs from ATS

I can't believe this show would be 90 minutes long. Come on LP! Your last tour was 90 minutes and now you have a new album and its still 90...wtf. Throw some lasers for one or two songs or have some flying people or something that will make use say they never did that before. And have a better looking stage then the last one.
I want them to play song they haven't played in years like High Voltage or With You. Take out LOATR.

compared to other bands a 90 mins set isnt that bad at all guys, korn for example (doing music since 93, 8 albums) doing just 70 mins sets!!!! So 90+ mins are pretty good!
But like i said befor, it will be almost the same setlist like 2007/2008
My thoughts for the setlist are:
Breaking the habbit
One step closer
In the end
POA
Crawling
Somewhere i belong
Fait
Bleed it out
etc etc
typical single playlist incl. 3-4 new songs maybe!
But i still HOPE to get With you and/or Runaway, thats all i care for^^ when they play at least one of those both songs i dont care what they play else

90 Mins is ok for LP...
From 2000 to 2004 the shows almost past the 60 minutes...
what is the problem now ?
The shows are really awesome, doesn't matter if is short or long, if you enjoy it you never will watch your clock...

that's what I thought as well. Some people are going crazy like: oh, wtf, 90 minutes, so long?!?!
but that's like what most of their last two year's concerts lasted. I wouldn't expect too much if they say WE HOPE 90+, perhaps 94 because ATS songs are longer than the old ones?
It's cool anyway, because I was kinda annoyed of all those people flaming LP would shorten their sets even if they never said that. and some people from Hamburg's pre listening confirmed that they didn't say it... I guess it's all right now and everyone who's going can be happy to see a good LP-set ^^
