The Kings Of Chaos (the lineup today featuring Corey Taylor, Matt Sorum, Robert DeLeo, Steve Stevens, and Franky Perez) and Julien-K's Ryan Shuck are playing at the Rock To Recovery event today in the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles, California.

According to the event's website, "Rock to Recovery was created to help soothe the restless souls of those in recovery. We do this by creating a “band” and writing and recording songs together with Rock to Recovery’s staff of professional musicians, who are also in recovery. We help bring fun into treatment and recovery by offering a natural escape from the fear-based mind. This helps people grow a sense of belonging and self esteem. We help to vent emotions by writing lyrics and singing together for release, in real-time. We tie in a positive theme of hope in recovery throughout the whole process. When the session is done, our “band” members feel a new energy all throughout their minds and spirits."

The show will be honoring Corey Taylor and MC5's Wayne Cramer, but it'd be shocking if they didn't mention Chester at some point. Chester has performed with Kings Of Chaos since their inception and they were all close friends (in fact, Chester was supposed to perform at this event with the band). Ryan Shuck was also very close to Chester, being part of Dead By Sunrise and Chester being a huge supporter of Julien-K. Shuck said that he'll be playing a dedication to Chester at the event with Wes Geer and will be trying to stream it on the Dead By Sunrise Facebook Page, so keep an eye out for that. Chester performed at the event last year with an All Star Jam band, singing Stone Temple Pilots' 'Vasoline' and Led Zeppelin's 'Whole Lotta Love.'

Watch Chester and Kings Of Chaos perform a whole lotta covers at their show in Boston in December 2016.

What are you guys expecting the bands to play at the show? If you're a rock n' roll fan, definitely check out the Kings Of Chaos' performances. We don't know what anyone will play, but we'll keep you updated. Ryan Shuck recently performed Dead By Sunrise and Grey Daze songs with members of both bands at a special memorial event for Chester, so perhaps he'll play one of those songs at this event.
