Linkin Park's 1,000th Show

Proposed rules, drafted by Dmitry and Serg and I:

1. If the entire band is on a stage performing two or three songs at some event/TV spot, it is a show. The point is that the whole band was there and there being an actual stage/set. Length of setlist shouldn't matter...if we get into that we really get technical and have to analyze a LOT of shows.

2. If they performed with the intent of sharing that performance with fans (so either fans were there or it was recorded to be released online or broadcast) then it counts as a show. Example: AOL Sessions would be counted as a show, even if the entire audience was digital. This handles the 2007 random rehearsals.

3. If there were two performances at different venues on the same day for whatever reason - count them as two shows. This occurs in 2008 twice.

4. Rehearsals: If they play a show/rehearsal, take a break, then play another show, same stage, same fans, same day, it's one show (Sunrise 2011, Madrid 2010). If the rehearsal is on a different date and to different fans, it counts as two shows (WPB 2014, Bristow 2012).

The one odd performance in the entire guide is the Machine Shop 2015 acoustic set. Zero way for any fans to get into that and it wasn't released - we can't count it. Also was just a partial band.

You know what, it's fine the way you guys are doing it, doesn't bother me, and it makes sense to do it that way. But yeah, that Machine Shop 2015 acoustic set shouldn't count, IMO.

Here's a list of what we should NOT count:

http://lplive.net/shows/db/2001/20010126-1 I don't think we should count separate performances on the same day. If we count Endsession/Seattle 2001 as two shows then we have to count Jimmy Kimmel Live and iHeartRadio Theater 2x in 2014 and also Madrid EMA 2010 + rehearsal 2x. That makes no sense, if they played the same day for a rehearsal or soundcheck party or something, just count it once. That means we can remove Sunrise 2011 preshow rehearsal etc from the count.

I agree with what you meant but not with how you wrote it. For example In 2008 the band played Lisboa then Madrid on the same day/date and according to how this rule was written we should count those as one which obviously doesn't make any sense.

Bump for 2017.

876 Linkin Park shows to start 2017. List of everything counted vs not counted.

Shows with the strikethrough are not counted as Linkin Park full band performances intended for the public.

2017.02.16 NRG Studios

2017.02.27 James Corden - Show #877

2017.02.28 Mercedes-AMG Shoot

2017.03.06 Warner Bros. Party

2017.04.06 ECHO 2017

Currently the number of performances on the 2017 page is 18 and that number is correct/accurate.
