Album Title & 5 New Track Titles

Nameless

Recommended Posts

("Guilty All The Same" is the first single, and dare I say, tamer than what these tunes are like!)

As it was said before GATS, generally is softer than the rest of the album.

Where did we know from, that The Haunting Party is the name of the new album?

EDIT: now I know, the preview.

We didnt, but this article and a new interview with mike where the interviewer says Hunting Party confirms it. Strange though, normally LP do a campaign and announce it, etc, but i recall chester saying they wanted the build up to this album. To be a little different to what they normally do.

I don't believe anything he/she said. We've read/heard this before. It went pointless for example with ATS. It turned out to be a lame record.

And nobody on LPL has taken anything you've said in the last 7 years seriously, so we all come out even, right? :P I challenge you to find a single instance of a pre-ATS review calling the album heavy, saying it has balls, declaring that rock isn't dead, etc...

The only thing I have to question (okay, I'm downright laughing at it because it's obviously not true) is the "everything was recorded live to tape" claim. Yeah, all those overdubbed guitar tracks on GATS were tracked live. Brad apparently has 8 hands now.

Now I'm excited. Every single report says the album is heavy. And Rob Cavallo producing a song, that's really interesting. Getting the head of the label involved, haha.

Calling it now. This song will be the most accessible/the first "real" single.

Since it was confirmed that THP will be a 12 song album, we actually have the tracklisting except for 2 tracks. I think the other 2 tracks might be an intro type track, similar to Wake, and then the other track might be an instrumental. Pretty awesome. Obviously in no particular order..

01. Until It's Gone

02. All For Nothing (Feat. Paige Hamilton)

03. Keys To The Kingdom

04. The Wastelands

05. Line In The Sand

06. Final Masquerade

07. Warrior

08. Mark The Graves

09. Guilty All The Same (Feat. Rakim)

10. Rebellion (Feat. Daron Malakian)

Astat, stop with this, you know as well as others you can still double track and use the quote "live to tape" if not i've underestimated you. Well Foo Fighters was recorded to tape but it was done in takes, so i assume the same way. So no computer editing, or quick fixes is what they mean. They watched sound city without a doubt and got influenced.

Watch this from 0.54. if you dont understand

If you want instrumentals wait for the next LPU release.

1 instrumental would be fine. I like how they had 1 instrumental track on HT, Meteora and LT, it was cool. But no more than 1.

Most of the instrumentals/interludes are pointless.

Tinfoil was the intro of Powerless.

Foreword was the intro of Don't Stay.

The Radiance was the intro of Burning In The Skies.

Wisdom, Justice, And Love was the intro of Iridescent.

No reason to split one song into 2 tracks.

Atleast with electronic you can make so many different sounds. You can with guitar too, but not to the same extent.

Sure, but guitars still sound better to me. The album is still going to have electronic elements to it like we've already heard and even the song structure of GATS wasn't predictable/boring IMO.

one thing isn't clear to me, that is they recorded the guitars to a tape, and it's quality is bigger than ever. ok, recording to a tape is an analog thing without losses, but when they record it to a computer (even with a very high sampling) they lose everything again with the digital thing. so why is it better to record it to a tape if they lose the lossless at the end?

I don't think they're gonna do something like MTM with Wake being the first track. GATS has just as long an intro so I think if anything it could be the first track and kinda be like the "intro instrumental" and "first regular song" combined. It just seems right to me to have it there unless the rest of the album's tracks have really long intros as well.

This has to be the best album cover I have seen so far in the span of 5 albums from LP. Reminds me a lot of LT (which I also loved) but different. It looks badass. That promo pic of the band is really cool, too, and I thought I was going to go crazy from seeing the LT promo pics so much. The interview with Mike is awesome, the best one yet. This is a great morning.

Wow Daron from SOAD I didn't really expect that. Sounds good, I'm really exciting now.

But I would prefer Serj Tankian more, his voice is as much unique as chesters. Anyway very good news.

I think that Daron's voice is very unique, I wouldn't say Serji has more unique than him, I think both have "uniqueness" at the same level. But Daron's uniqueness is more similar to Chester's

I think the other 2 tracks might be an intro type track, similar to Wake, and then the other track might be an instrumental.

I think there should be just 1 instrumental, not 1 intro instrumental and 1 usual instrumental, 1 instrumental like Cure For The Itch will be enough. There's possibility that there won't be an instrumental track at all, because so big part of songs might be instrumental anyway.

1 instrumental would be fine. I like how they had 1 instrumental track on HT, Meteora and LT, it was cool. But no more than 1.

180?

The 5 songs, “Keys To The Kingdom,” “The Wastelands,” “Until It’s Gone,” “All For Nothing” (featuring Paige Hamilton of Helmet!) and “Rebellion” (featuring Daron Malakian of System Of A Down) were all still unmixed, but every one sounded great!

Guilty All The Same and Until It's Gone already mixed:

Maybe Until It's Gone is the second single?

you can see a date on the right corner of page.something like APRIL 20 or maybe 25.What is it?

"All information below is embargoed until April 29".

I guess it's the date they can start talking about what they heard.

Atleast with electronic you can make so many different sounds. You can with guitar too, but not to the same extent.

BTW, looking over the track names, i went back to look at the screenshot of the song names in the making of GATS video, and i couldnt find ' Until its Gone '. But we knew there was a track called that. So where did that come from ?

I am super hyped from all the new track summaries today, but I am a bit worried, but for different reasons. I can do without the electronic stuff being the forefront of the music, I am fine with the guitar and drums taking the prominent role in the music. However, Chester's screaming was one of the big main reasons that I fell in love with Linkin Park as much as I did. I know that it sounds dumb because he doesn't scream that much on their albums. Hybrid Theory had some screaming, but not that much. Meteora had a lot, which was released in 2003 and that was when I fell in love with LP. MTM had the screaming section of GU which was my favorite thing ever and it had the screaming during BIO and NMS as well. ATS had Blackout which was epic. LT had LITE, LGM and Victimized, all great. I hope that the screaming doesn't disappear on this album. I think that if there was a screaming part, it would have been noted by the reviewers for those 6 tracks. Maybe the other half of the album will have some, who knows. Even just one or two tracks would keep me happy. The screams in GATS weren't really what I meant and I hope that it's not like that the whole album.
