I am not the best source when it comes to STP stuff, but the fact that I am a Global Moderator on BelowEmpty forums and a fan of Stone Temple Pilots and Scott Weiland for a longer time than 98% of LP community is definitely helps me to be able to run a thread like this.

In the studio version, Scott sings "Know I'll be waitin' here alone" during the first two choruses and "Know you'll be safe but not alone" instead of it during the rest of the song. On "The Family Values" CD it's just "Know you'll be safe but not alone" all the way through the song.

Scott always combined these lines differently during the shows.

The interesting fact is that it looks like he first started to sing Ah-Ah's over the solo AFTER the Family Values version was released.

Anyway, there's not too many live recordings from 2002 and the band never performed this song ever since they reunited in 2008. However, Scott performed it one or two times during his Christmas tour.

Don't watch the video unless you want to cringe in embarrassment for him. lol

STP usually play 2000-5000 capacity venues for a non-festival US shows. I think it's a little bit too early to compare STP and STPWCB crowds, but this current tour is going very very well so far. I would say a bit better than the majority of STP shows from the last few years.

Hey do you know the current songs very well that they are playing? I am trying to do setlist notes. BelowEmpty fans have given me 3 of them that I should use. Do you know of any more?

So far, I have Church On Tuesday having a new guitar solo at the end, Pop's Love Suicide having a new ending, and Sour Girl being the version they started playing in 2008 with a guitar solo.

I do know them very well. Still need to listen to some of the recent recordings. I'll do it asap.

However, just of top of my head, the things you mentioned are the only "big" changes. They are basically playing the album versions of the songs. Well except for "Silvergun Superman". The ending of the studio version was intentionally recorded as if the band screwed it up. So they never play it this way live, of course.

For Sunrise? Or where? I saw videos where it was extended at at least 2 shows.

You're probably used to hearing the radio edit where the song starts with the main riff immediately. That little "soft part" at the beginning is part of the studio version.

- This is one of the shows that the show page lists "extended intro" for. Compare it to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUoEMFYbxiI

Same thing, minus the acoustic guitar from the studio version.

WWE question:

Out Of Time is the new WWE theme for some event/show/special, that means the band actually will play it live (October 27th)?

It's happened a few times, but generally no. The theme song for the PPV shows is usually just used in a lot of the promotional videos leading up to the event, and during the intro to the show itself.

Did the band talked about full album in one of their interviews?

Edit:

Nevermind.

About A Fool, All In The Suit That You Wear, Samba Nova, Heed The Water Whisper and You Can't Drive Me Away are the only real non-album original STP tracks. Heed The Water Whisper is the only track that wasn't officially released.

About A Fool, Samba Nova, Heed The Water Whisper and You Can't Drive Me Away were leaked nearly 10 years ago, but later the band released them as the bonus tracks for their self-titled album in 2010 (except for Heed The Water Whisper). So there are both final and leaked rough mixes floating around.

Revolution is The Beatles cover.
