In my opinion this is the rarest cd for a linkin park collector to get... it took me over a decade to get it.. Thats way more time than my xero tape or original 1999 ep combined...

HT demo cd 9 tracks

I wanted to trade it for something i dont have... but no collectors wanted to trade..pity...

On a side note, I think it would be super interesting if you do a page or article on LPC, what the rarest items are.

Since you have a pretty good overview how many of each are out there, as an indicator.

I'd really like to see that.

I agree, that would be really cool.

So you are actually selling it?

the real thing? you haven't forged a replica and secretly keeping the real one?

how many of these even are there?

I might actually buy this.

EDIT: i just checked and realized that you are Percy

sorry for questioning you on the legitness of this.

I have never bought anything from Ebay before and i've never owned any Physical Rare CD's

but i think if i owned this it would quench my collectors thirst for my entire life.

I must have this. I would pay up to 1000 for this if i had the money, but lets just see how the bidding goes ;)

My god i want this so bad, i will be so disappointed if someone Snips it at last second

does anyone know how many of these they are

Even Later Edit:

I could buy it from his Discogs right now and get the infamous 9 track cd.

i have been back and forth in my mind for the last 3 days if i should just get it or not

but i have decided not too, should probably use my money to pay off some school debt

I hope i dont regret this for the rest of my life since i doubt it will ever be on sale again.

I could get it right now, but i chose not to.

Well if anyone has questioned spending lots of money on Linkin park or not. I believe it's me. Lol. In terms of collecting that is. I'm sure hahninator has spent a lot on trips to see lp live millions of times. And there's others that have seen them live more than mark. But whenever I think long and hard about it. I always come back thinking I can always make more money. You can't guarantee you will see a certain collectors item again. Simple thinking I know. But a nirvana collector told me that and she paid like $6000 for a nirvana pennyroyal tea uk vinyl where originally only a hundred were made or something. I might be wrong on the number made but you get my point. Whenever u think lp fans are h core on collecting. Think again. Nirvana fans are nuts ..

Well said.

It's an authentic CD, there is only one other that we can confirm exists. http://lplive.net/wiki/db/lists/ht-demo-cd-list

"Summary: This was the first large release of demos into the community. LPFuse's Energy (Simon) did the honors when he obtained the only known copy of a nine track demo of songs. This is where things immediately started to get confusing, as the date was February 2000, after the Hybrid Theory EP, but different versions of Carousel and Part Of Me were on the CD. This means that Linkin Park revisited those two songs for Hybrid Theory (obviously And One too since the live version in 2000 was different than the Hybrid Theory EP version) but they didn't quite make the cut. This was the first Crawling demo with Chester screaming the "Ahh, I hate you so much right now!" part to start the song and with the "raindrops" bridge. We could go on and on about the differences, but the most important thing to gather from this release is that it was the first large set of Linkin Park demos to hit the web."

The fact that a second one of these was found ELEVEN+ years later tells you how rare this really is. I don't even collect LP items...I have the HT 2 track CD with the cool artwork (Esaul/Super Xero), the HTEP, and the 8 track with She Couldn't. But even I am considering bidding on this.

If you want this, I'd bid for it because there is no guarantee it would ever circulate again. BPercy doesn't have the first copy, Simon does, so there's no way he duplicated/replicated this CD - I don't doubt the authenticity even 1%. I wouldn't even sell this if I had it, ha. It needs to go in the hands of a good collector.

The date, tracklisting, etc matches up with Simon's/LPFuse's, so I think there's no need in re-ripping this version as the first release in 2005 doesn't have any skips, etc as far as I know.
