Julien-K Announces "Death To Analog" Evening

Julien-K has announced an evening with them in Los Angeles where they will play songs from the Death To Analog album and feature special guests, including Brandon Belsky, who left the band in 2010 due to creative differences. Chester couldn't be a more guaranteed guest at this event unless his name was on the press release itself. Ironically, Ryan even liked Geki's comment about Chester joining them for Technical Difficulties on his Facebook page.

Their post reads, "Saturday June 28th, join us for a very special performance of our first album, Death To Analog @ Bar Sinister. We are very excited to have Brandon Belsky on board for this show! We will only be performing songs from the Death To Analog era including some that have never previously been performed.

Please use this ticket link to buy your tickets EARLY as this show WILL sell out.

Looking forward to celebrate and re-embrace our debut album material before we move into our new album cycle.

Back to our roots - this will be a very special show!"

Hopefully a webcast will be held for the show, but that hasn't been announced yet. Linkin Park's European Tour ends on June 14th and Chester will be in town, so it looks like a slam-dunk for another guest spot from him. We'll see who else they bring out!

I hope Chester comes out and does Technical Difficulties with them. He is the only guest on the album, so that would be pretty awesome if they did it fully complete. They could also do Dreamland & Killing Fields, too. Would be great... I seriously hope there is webcast for this. If I could afford it, I would travel to LA for this epic show.

This is a really great record. I'm sure they'll be playing like Dystopian Girl, Stranded, and Disease...all of which I don't think have ever been played, right? Forever is my top song on the album with Maestro so it'll be good to have another Forever performance. They've really neglected the DTA album in their most recent shows.

When they say "other songs from the era" I bet they mean Dreamland and Killing Fields. Killing Fields is just epic. I wonder if Waking Up, This Machine or Everyone Knows have a shot?

Maybe Waking Up & This Machine will have a shot, that'd be great! As far as Everyone Knows, I don't think so, only because it's a demo and it's from 2004, it wasn't a very great track, either.

Awesome but i think they will only play DTA songs and maybe 2- more Killing Fields, Dreamland. Hope someone tape it or like ryan said.

"we'll consider it - though we may want to keep this a "finite moment in time". i.e .... you have to be there."

I think they do, Julien-K is known for playing lesser known songs and remixes in their sets. I think if it's a DTA era exclusive show they would play those songs. Also those songs never have been performed live, which is a shame cause they're in my top 5 JK list, especially Dystopian Girl!

The full DTA album + Dreamland and Killing Fields is probably what they will play, IMO. That's 16 tracks right there, and that is the usual length of Julien-K sets. Maybe they will add 1 or 2 more songs after that.

I think 13 songs (a few times) was their longest set so far, and it's not even their usual (9-12?). So like Wilderness said 16-18 songs set is definitely not their "usual". It's more like two shows lol.
