  1. I finally got an update on my box!...only for it to say it'll be here next Thursday. Yeah, last time I'll be ordering from the Warner store for these type of releases.
  2. 100% agree. LP is one of the bands where I can listen to almost anything they put out, and not be disappointed. Meteora and ATS are some great albums. I'm so excited to hear the new demos. I'm especially looking forward to the new doc. I mentioned earlier this year that with this, plus the Green Day box set, I feel like I'm back in high school again lol.
  3. 🙄 I think it's a bad measure to use discussions on a fan site to gauge the quality of a record .HT20 had the same hype and discussion, and it's safe to say M2M20 will have it as well. Yes, Meteora was a great album, but it's not the best they've done. Just because they changed their sound afterwards doesn't make the other albums bad. I would say that there are about 5-6 songs on M2M and ATS that are better than some of the songs on Meteora. But that's just imo. Doesn't mean the Meteora songs are bad, it just speaks to the talent that the band has with writing songs.
  4. It's good, but not their best. Even Mike doesn't think it is. I'm excited for this week, but if I'm being honest, I'm more anxious for what the LPU might be doing. I might sign back up after 7 years. Definitely exciting times for LP fans.
  5. It'll be interesting. I think the modern mix is why it has a LT vibe, especially in the intro. Maybe that's just me.
  6. Still not a fan of using AI for the videos, but at least this one looks better than the Lost vid. But that's probably just my love for the dark aesthetic. Speaking of, not sure how people are getting "happy" from this song. I think some people forget that pop doesn't always equal upbeat or happy.
  7. I went back and listened to the Meteora demos we got on the LPU releases. One thing that stood out was that Lost really fits in with them in terms of the music and scope. The band mentioned on the making of DVD how they wanted the album to be more "cinematic" and "big scope" in feel and sound, and I think Lost and those demos encapsulate that pretty well. This makes me excited for the other b-sides as well as the demos.
  8. Wow. I just wanna appreciate how we finally got this song after all these years. I definitely get the Living Things vibe everyone else mentioned. The samples and keyboards made it sound like a LPU demo we might have gotten. Like So Far Away, I feel like this was a song before its time. While it is enjoyable, I do see how it got voted off the final tracklist. It reminds me of Phoenix's quote from the dvd "we wrote our sophomore album...and then we just junked it." Ultimately, this makes me so angry that they went all these years doing only live songs and remixes as b-sides for the singles. I would've preferred more stuff like this than Burn It Down remix number 10. But it is what it is. I'm just thankful we get this stuff now, and I can't wait to preorder the deluxe set!
  9. I remember when it first came out, how up in arms the fanbase was over the music. Like it was bad. This site was split right down the middle over it. Luckily, as the album aged, the reaction got better. It's just funny how it's so beloved now considering how controversial it was in the day. Personally, I enjoyed it. I didn't even consider it as "they sold out" "bring back the metal!", I just saw it as a solid, amazing album. It was also the first album I ever pre-ordered and got the big bundle for. I still have the vinyl/artbook bundle. I consider the art for this era to be among the best in the band's history.
  10. Good deal. That makes me feel better now. I can't wait for it to ship out now. It gets released on my birthday, so I'm super stoaked.
  11. So I tried to get on the website, but I couldn't get through the checkout page due to the warner servers. I ended up preordering on the US amazon. It should be the same, right? It looks like it, but I'm concerned because the website said the preorders got an instant download of She Couldn't, and Amazon doesn't have that.
  12. Chvrches, an electro-pop band band from Scotland, has fired back at Mike Shinoda and Linkin Park for his comments about the state of rock and roll nowadays. Apparently they weren't happy. http://radio.com/2014/07/01/chvrches-linkin-park-mike-shinoda-disney-commercial-music/ Thoughts?
  13. I didn't know whether to count CC or not, since it technically was an EP, and not an actual album. But it can be changed if it's considered an album. Thats what I meant. Since Hybrid Theory. Sorry.
  14. Living Things is the first LP Album since Reanimation to not have a separate intro track (Not counting Collision Course)
