Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI has announced that Linkin Park will headline a day of the festival on June 30, 2015. A Day To Remember will be direct support for this show, which should please some of the fans that have been asking for an LP/ADTR show! The venue will be Marcus Amphitheatre in Milwaukee.

Tickets go on sale November 21 at noon and the LPU presale begins on November 19. This show will be directly after Loudwire Music Festival in Colorado, which LP will headline sometime between June 26-28.

Despite this venue being open since 1987, Linkin Park has never performed in Milwaukee or at Marcus Amphitheatre. This will be their 10th show in Wisconsin, but first since the East Troy, WI show in summer 2008.

No. They are crazy live, but get the energy really going. I hated them my first time when I saw them open for Rise Against. I saw them again and wasn't a big fan either opening for STP...the sound sucked. But I do have some songs of theirs on random mixes I made like Downfall Of Us All and Sometimes You're The Hammer, Sometimes You're The Nail. They do have some jams.

Jeremy on AFPMH again at this show would be cool.

I've kind of always hoped LP would play more U.S. festivals such as Rock On The Range, Carolina Rebellion, Pointfest, etc.

Summerfest definitely isn't the typical USA festival. I know what you mean...LP just doesn't fit into that category of band. The bands that headline those events are straight rock bands, etc...LP is like on another level in a few ways. Their production is much superior, etc. It's hard to explain. Those festivals have a totally different type of crowd in general than what LP brings to their shows. Linkin Park isn't a band to ever play a show like Rock On The Range, Carolina Rebellion, Pointfest, The Big Ticket in Jacksonville, Music Midtown in Atlanta, Bonnaroo, Coachella, etc. They haven't been asked to play Coachella and likely won't ever be asked.

An interesting exception to this is that they were booked as the headliner for DeLuna Festival in Pensacola. That was a very strange booking to me and surely cost the festival an absolute fortune, lol. I don't think these festivals actively try to bring LP because LP costs a fuckkkkkk ton to book, they aren't straight rock, etc. Coachella and Bonnaroo are legit music festival experiences but they don't seem to want LP. Of any USA festival to see LP at, I would think it'd be Lollapalooza. I don't think they'll play Voodoo or any of these rock festivals or Bonnaroo/Coachella though. But maybe I am wrong. And don't get me wrong, I'd love to see LP at Voodoo in New Orleans.

Summerfest is one of those things like Milano's festival this year...a headliner is booked for each day and has their OWN show. It's an ongoing festival over a period of time. Linkin Park has their day, John Fogerty has his day, Dave Matthews Band has their day, etc.

Bleh...Tuesday show. Des Moines is on a weekend and about an hour closer (I was WAY off in estimating how close I am to Des Moines vs. Milwaukee earlier). Unless I plan my entire summer vacation around this show, I don't see how I'm going to manage this. If I can only do one 2015 show, it'll have to be Des Moines...and I'm still not even sure if I can make that work.

Well, change of plans, can't do the Des Moines show now, my band got booked for a show the same day. Kind of bummed, would have much rather seen OM&M/Rise Against than ADTR, but what can you do (not like I'm going to turn down an opportunity to further my own career in favor of seeing LP for a 6th time). You still planning on making the trip up here for this one Hahninator?

The more I see Linkin Park's touring schedule expanding further and further, the more I feel bad for Stone Temple Pilots.

They knew going in that Chester was going to be busy with Linkin Park and that they would have to work around his schedule. I'm sure they are fine with it. They have played a lot of shows together throughout 2013 and did a bunch of shows this year in 2014. I've seen them live twice already. I bet once this touring cycle is over with Linkin Park that Chester will go write with them again and they will release either a full album or EP and then they will do a tour again.
