Sources + Explanations

Asian Tour

Note: As of August 16, 2017, there is no official confirmation as to whether or not the shows in Japan are cancelled.

It has been confirmed by a Asian promoter H.I.M. that the band will be performing in Japan in November 2017. Mike also claimed in a KROQ interview that the band has an Asian tour booked for the fall. An announcement is expected in mid-April.

The band's massive success in China in 2015 and deals with Mercedes-Benz will likely bring them back to the country on the tour. Tour manager Jim Digby visited the Shenzhen Universiade Center in Shenzhen, China in October, meaning he's likely checking out venues ahead of the band's performance there.

Promoters in Indonesia have been claiming a show in the country has been confirmed since April. As of August 2017, there has been no official confirmation, though on August 16, an announcement was said to be coming very soon. (Source)

Confirmed Tours

One More Light South American Tour 2017

  • CONFIRMED: Lorenzo asked on Twitter who he could get in contact with from Linkin Park Chile, which hints at an announcement for a show in Chile.
  • CONFIRMED: Linkin Park retweeted Linkin Park Peru, whose tweet included the hashtag "#LinkinParkEnPeru2017" the day before they announced the show in Lima.
  • A source claims that Linkin Park will not have any other shows in Brazil on this South American Tour. (Source)

One More Light European Tour 2017

Linkin Park are undergoing a European Festival Tour in June and July of 2017 in support of the new album. The first show announced was NovaRock. Some of the festival performance dates are unconfirmed by the band, but by looking at other performing artists' lineups, we can piece together the schedule.

  • CONFIRMED: NovaRock takes place between the 14th and 17th. It is unlikely the band will play three shows in a row, so that counts out the 16th, and the band already has shows set for the 15th and 17th.
  • Blink-182, another headliner of the Hurricane and Southside festivals, has said they are performing at the festivals on the 24th and 25th. This means he band won't be playing on back-to-back nights, so they'll probably play the festivals on the 23rd and 25th.
  • CONFIRMED: Many people have been guessing that Linkin Park will be the headliners for the Aerodrome Festival in Prague.
  • The Spanish rock festival Resurrection Fest followed Linkin Park (and Fort Minor) on Twitter - it's possible they'll be performing there.
  • Jim Digby posted a picture of the crew getting the band's touring rig ready for the band's summer tour in Europe. The paper on the piece of the rig is marked "UK JUNE A-RIG," so it seems that the band may be using it somewhere in the United Kingdom. (Source)

U.K. Tour

In an Argentine interview, Phoenix said the band will be touring the United Kingdom on the upcoming tour. (Source)

The band supposedly has a US Tour booked for August and September, as per usual.

False / Cancelled In Negotiation

LP7 European Tour 2016

Linkin Park is expected to do a run of European Festivals to kick off the album cycle, as typical of most of the band's pre-album promotion over the past few cycles.

  • Linkin Park are among the three big rumored headliners (the others being Iron Maiden, who has already been announced as a headliner, and System Of A Down) to be performing at 2016's Rock im Revier in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. (Source)
  • Linkin Park are among the three big rumored headliners (the others being Iron Maiden, who has already been announced as a headliner, and System Of A Down) to be performing at 2016's Roackavaria in Münich, Germany. (Source)
  • Rumors are going around that Linkin Park will perform at the 2016 edition of HellFest in Clisson, France. Two of three headliners are already announced: Black Sabbath and Rammstein. (Source)
  • Mimmo D'Alessandro, the Lucca Summer Festival's promoter, has been in the works to get Linkin Park to perform at the festival. If this turns out to be true, this European Tour may end up being the band's longest, spanning well over a month's time! (Source)
  • Rock am Ring's and Rock im Park's lineups are already out - Linkin Park is (surprisingly) not on the lineup.

Promo/Club Tour

The band apparently has a tour booked for March 2017, but further details (including whether it is the first tour or even where it is) are unknown.

Phoenix stated in an interview that the band has plans for a big world tour starting between March and April, with legs in the US, UK, Europe, Asia, and more.

The band has been in rehearsals for weeks now... it seems unlikely it's just promotional performances for 'Heavy' that are taking this long. It seems possible an LPU or Club Tour will be taking place to kick off the cycle.

The band is playing an award show in Germany in April, and it seems very odd to fly to Europe just to play a single promotional show. It seems very likely the band will perform a show in Germany or elsewhere in Europe while they are there.

If you have any tips as to where the band may be playing on the following touring cycle, post below!

I dont think that any of this dates will be right. Hope for a real full tour in Fall `16.

So many June festivals have annouced their headliners and in July there are not so many festivals like in June.

Probably (North/South) America for the fall, or even Australia. So I really hope for some festivals/headlining shows here in Europe.

I think they are trying to finish their tour schedule because I'm not seeing them playing for 2 months (starting in late May and ending in July). So atm those rumors could be true, Hellfest still has an headline spot (the bezegut french blog had LP and Metallica besides the now confirmed headliners?) and the others got 2.

Also, there are many festivals in July they could be in.

And then, there's the headlining solo shows

Lots of bands announcing their shows and no LP yet .. wow

Not sure if you heard of the LPA Podcast? If not, I can tell you my thoughts why LP is not listed anywhere. Mike said that they plan a late 2016 release so it wouldn't make sense to let them play on big festival. I mean they almost always play these festivals if they promoting an new album. I can see LP play European festivals in 2017 again.

The very first thing I've heard about the touring cycle was in April, when I learned the band does not plan to tour at all in 2016 as of right now. In fact, a good portion of their main touring crew is booked through November (some later than that) with other artists.

The next thing I heard was last night. Again, as of now, I was told they have a tour of some sort booked in March 2017. I don't know if that's the first tour for the album or even where it is, but that's all I have unfortunately for an update.

Latest is that I doubt LP will play in early to mid March.

This says Pooch is with Justin Bieber. http://www.seelectronics.com/artists/ken-pooch-van-druten/

He's touring until March 18, just announced. http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/7526757/justin-bieber-purpose-tour-australia-new-zealand It also says "Australiasian" so maybe Asia comes after this.

The last two touring cycles did not start until May (Living Things and The Hunting Party) so that might be what they are going for with this album too.

But I still have heard recently, yet again, that the band wants to release the album in or by March.

It's a supposition from nowhere but there's a spanish edition of Download Festival in Madrid confirmed but not announced yet. LP played there several times in the past so maybe they're one of the headliners. Many websites say that the announcement will be sooner than later (this month).

False alarm, the first headliner is System Of A Down. Leaked on a event on their facebook.

Yep can confirm that, they posted that themselves on Facebook. SOAD will play Open Air Zenith in Nancy, Download in Paris, O2 Arena in Prague, Impact Festival in Lodz, Nimes Festival, Download in Madrid and Main Square Festival in Arras. Not THE big festival likes Download in UK or Rock am Ring, but they didn't announce their LineUp for now
