  1. dubstep, even if its just a section of a song like the breakdown in blackout, but something dubstep-y needs to happen in LP's music
  2. Waiting For The End from the album release show, that was awesome
  3. I've only been to one LP show, it was the first MSG show in 2008. I don't remember it word for word, but Chester said something to us about how he and his sister (maybe step-sister, cant remember) used to sit in their kitchen in Arizona and think about when LP would play Madison Square Garden, and how much that would mean to them, and how he promised her she could come to that show, and she was in fact backstage. I think they also said something about the weather, since it was February and it was probably pretty cold. And of course Jay-Z came out, and they introduced him and had the crowd make noise for him when he left. And Chester and Mike each came out to the crowd, Chester during Crawling, Mike during In The End (I think) and both of them during APFMH. But I never really thought of their recent performances as lacking that much in crowd interaction, obviously its a little less, but don't they still go into the crowd during some songs, or let the crowd sing lines on their own? I always love it when bands do that, so LP's crowd interaction has always been at least good enough.
  4. Hybrid Theory: Papercut A Place For My Head With You Meteora: Figure .09 Easier to Run Don't Stay Minutes to Midnight: The Little Things Give You Away Bleed It Out In Pieces A Thousand Suns: Waiting for the End Blackout Robot Boy
  5. An epic opener is definitely needed, maybe not 8 minutes but something just huge in sound and dynamics. I'd like maybe 10 - 12 "full" songs, but I wouldn't exclude interludes entirely, stuff like Empty Spaces is pointless and can be left off, but whenever I listen to Jordana Del Muerto I wish they had made it longer and expanded on it a little bit more, I feel like it just builds up and leaves me hanging, it never really finishes right. So maybe something like a cool instrumental that's really a whole piece of music on its own and not just an intro to the next song, but only one of those at the most.
  6. at the 3:40 mark, you can hear the piano version of Pushing Me Away, but it sounds like a studio version. Does anyone have this or know anything about it?
  7. Did anyone ever figure out what the deal was with that picture Phoenix tweeted with the elephant behind him saying it was for The Catalyst video shoot?
  8. I agree, Robot Boy is incredible, other ones that quickly come to mind are WFTE, WTCFM, Papercut, Little Things Give You Away, Catalyst, New Divide, and Nobody's Listening.
  9. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/lin...-a-gig-20110901 They got some facts wrong, like this being their smallest show in a decade, and its pretty short, but other parts are good, I'm happy to hear they raised that much money for Japan.
  10. I really think everyone needs to cool down about this whole setlist thing a bit. I get that it would've been a good opportunity to play some older songs and not have to worry about the whole casual listener thing, but at the same time, the singles are singles because theyre good songs, right? Not everyone has seen them live nine times, I saw them once in 2008 and if I saw them again, I wouldn't care what setlist it was, these guys are awesome live, no matter what songs they play. LP never told us that this show would have anything different about it setlist-wise, so I'm not really sure why you all expected it. More than just expected actually, you guys are treating it like LP did tell us it would be a show full of old school songs and promised to play Robot Boy or With You or something like that and then just played this set. But that's not what happened. The fact that this show happened at all is amazing, they didn't do it for the show, they did it to raise money for people who's lives have been completely destroyed, for people who have lost loved ones, that was the band's main concern when they had the idea for a secret benefit show, not an opportunity to play some rare songs, so stop complaining.
  11. As far as your medley goes, its constructed pretty well, the A.06/Hit the Floor transition was awesome. But I don't think this particular medley would work well at a real LP concert, the energy is too all over the place and there's some songs there that either wouldn't sound that good live, or aren't well known enough by the majority of the people at the concert, especially when LP could play 2 -3 hits in place of the medley. But I do like the idea, and maybe if it was kept short, like maybe 2 or 3 songs in a medley instead of 10, then it could work.
  12. Well with Dookie, Green Day had some of those songs written fully for a few years, they just had to play them in a studio. Linkin Park's process involves them writing and revising everything as its recorded, so it can take awhile. Also, as we know, they're huge perfectionists.
  13. 1. Jordana Del Muerto 2. Waiting for the End 3. Given Up (Ext. Outro) 4. Lying From You 5. No More Sorrow 6. Papercut 7. Empty Space 8. When They Come For Me 9. Numb (Keyboard Transition Outro) 10. The Radiance (New Version that transitions to album version) 11. Burning in the Skies 12. Breaking the Habit (Acapella Outro) 13. What I've Done 14. Shadow of the Day 15. Wisdom, Justice, and Love 16. Iridescent 17. In The End 18. Fallout 19. The Catalyst --ENCORE-- 20. Blackout (New Ext. Intro) 21. Crawling 22. One Step Closer (Ext. Outro) 23. New Divide 24. Bleed It Out (APFMH Bridge, Ext. Outro) 25. Faint (Ext. Outro) I wanted to keep this one pretty realistic (ie, not including songs that are unlikely to be added to a setlist) but I thought that switching it up with Jordana opening would be cool, along with a more true to the album version of The Radiance to go right into BITS, and a cool, dark intro for Blackout to make the encore opening even more epic.
  14. Thank you, I wonder why they're coming on so late, I thought they were scheduled for 8pm London time, its almost 9 there now
  15. So I came on late, watched a slideshow of previous groups for a few minutes, and now it says next group is up in about 10 minutes, did I miss LP playing a really short set or are they coming on late?
